Hey darlings, your girls got you the go to spring / summer outfit. Literally all the boxes are ticked with this one: stylishly fashionable, modest as well as hella comfortable for that hot weather (by that I mean the summer food-baby we all have).
PLEATED MAXI SKIRT x
I have this babe of a skirt in 3 colours and still on the hunt for more! I find myself pairing it with blouses, tops and tees which I usually tuck into the skirt to give a more of a put together and classy look to the outfit. I also enjoy wearing these pleated skirts with a slightly shorter length top/ shirt.
As for shoes you name it... I literally can’t find a fault with any shoe (apart from those hideous big trainers, if you know, you know… they don’t count... what even are they?). Flatform pumps/ sneakers, a cute wedge, heels, dolly flats or sandals.
And the most obvious reason why the pleated skirt is a babe…food! Let’s just say gurllll eat away and that food-baby is gonna be in its’ own bubble of comfort.
STATEMENT BLOUSE x
I tend to opt for softer outfits with delicate details however with a plain pleated skirt I find myself able to wear more bold, decorative and statement upper pieces such as this ted baker blouse, which I love. This blouse is an old item however there’s been so many statement tops/shirts/blouses on the high street this year! I have attached all the ones I already own and/or adore.
THE BLOCK COLOUR WEDGE x
Wedges have always been my go to summer shoe. Wedges never go out of trend, and always add all that summery cuteness to the outfit. Here I have these sandal wedges in a coral orange colour to match the floral details on the statement blouse.
THE ROUND BAG x
This year the round statement bag has really hit it off. They’re in every shop window: from high street to premium to luxury stores. This one is from Topshop for under £30! This bag was a must have, I just had to get it. It looks very designer, classy but not a dupe. I’ve worn it so much already! A statement, on trend bag really does make any outfit that extra bit glamourous. And the added bonus is that it’s so spacious for a little bag!
AND OF COURSE THAT HEAD WRAP x
I decided to go for a pale coral/ peach colour to again match with the floral details of the statement blouse, and the coral wedges. I always love matching my scarf to my shoes!
AND EYE STYLE SHADES x
Go big go bold! I love these shades from M&S, they’re affordable but look very chic. I strongly recommend gold/ rose gold metallic shades as they’re always a boost to that outfit (and pretty much match with any item).
