HOW TO STYLE 3 TYPES OF FAUX FUR COATS MODESTLY

As promised on my instagram stories..sharing my go-to way to style faux fur coats! Featuring both cropped/short and long faux fur coats. I've also added in white /ecru faux fur coats because that's where my weakness lies..sorry not sorry!!

THE CROPPED/SHORT FAUX FUR COAT

I find myself wearing cropped faux fur coats with maxi skirts or dresses a lot. I guess the fact that it's cropped makes me feel like it's already very statement so it makes sense to me to balance it out with more feminine pieces..and to me it doesn't get more feminine than dresses and skirts.

THE WHITE FAUX FUR COAT

There's something so chic and high end about white faux fur especially in the form of a coat; I felt compelled to share it with you all! I find myself reaching for it on days where I want to look put together, whilst not actually putting in much effort..I like to call this my lazy day outfits. Those quick trips to the local shops that you need to make, where you might bump into a few people you know but you want to make the trip quick & short so you can instantly be back in your comfy sweats and dressing gown. A pair of wide leg pants, button up the coat, throw on some cute boots & bag and you're done..(you don't even have to take off that lounge top you have on..you're welcome ;) ). Oh and it also makes the perfect blanket when you go to the cinema hahah...I know this because it's exactly what I wore to go see Frozen 2 when it came out last year (highly recommend you see Frozen 2 if you haven't already x ). Also there are some faux fur coats that now come with a tie belt...down right looking like a dressing gown so I recommend making sure the tie belt is removable and ditching it.

THE LONG FAUX FUR COAT

When it's a longer fur coat I usually find myself in a (shift/ jumper/ knit) dress, heeled boots and a pair of relaxed chinos. Slightly tapered ones as I feel like it leaves the full outfit looking much more put together, as the tapered trousers make up for the lack of structure/shape in as long faux fur coat.

Hope you enjoyed this styling blogpost and all the finds I've shared huns! Until next time x x
